Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services and heath professional education and research in the northeast of Melbourne. An internationally recognised leader in clinical teaching and training, affiliated with eight universities. In addition, it is the largest Victorian provider of training for specialist physicians and surgeons.
The Challenge
Austin Health was seeking to introduce a highly collaborative ‘bottom up’ budgeting process that would help to improve transparency and accountability across the organisation. Highly flexible reporting processes were also required to meet the business and regulatory reporting requirements.
The Solution
The MAGIQ Performance Suite was implemented across Austin Health’s General Ledger, Payroll, Leave Management and Billing systems, allowing the organisation to capture, report and analyse the financial impact of their business decisions.

Austin Health has implemented a highly collaborative budgeting process providing improved accountability and transparency across the organisation. The flexibility in reporting has also enabled the finance team to efficiently achieve strict government reporting requirements and provide all other stakeholders with access to accurate information for informed decision-making.
