MAGIQ Software’s Property Rates Solution is now live at the Bay of Plenty Regional Council.
Historically, the Bay of Plenty Regional Council’s rates have been invoiced and collected on their behalf by the region’s seven district/city councils. Based on increasing costs, variances in rates policy application, and a need for more visibility of the Council’s work amongst ratepayers, Council decided to bring the function in-house.
The implementation of the MAGIQ Cloud ERP has allowed the Bay of Plenty Regional Council to bring the rates, penalties, and other collection processes in-house and provide a rates collection system for approximately 147,000 rating units.
Not only has MAGIQ Software provided a consistent, robust rating and collection solution, but the platform has also allowed Council to maintain and enhance ratepayer customer experience and engagement.
Hamish Murray, Group Manager of Sales ANZ, says the project is a significant endorsement of MAGIQ Software’s experience developing complex software solutions for the Public Sector.
“We are privileged to work with the Bay of Plenty Regional Council on such a strategically important function for the Council and the region.
“The selection of the MAGIQ Cloud ERP is a significant endorsement of our strategy, core functionality, and deep Local Government experience.
“We welcome the Bay of Plenty Regional Council and look forward to many years of positive engagement.”
