We are very pleased to announce David Savory has joined MAGIQ Software in the role of Finance Consultant. David has extensive senior financial management and business systems experience and his career spans 28 years within the Queensland and New South Wales local government industry.
Originally from Cairns in Far North Queensland, David began his career at Cairns City Council working in a variety of finance roles before taking on the position of Director of Finance at Etheridge Shire Council. In 2003 David re-located to New South Wales taking up the position of Manager Corporate Services at Walcha Council in the New England Region.
Following the formation of the New England Alliance of Councils, David took on the role of Business Systems Manager where he was focused on implementing business systems across the four alliance Councils. In this role David was able to build strong skills in Project Management, Business Process Review and Systems Implementation.
Most recently David was working at Torres Shire Council in Queensland, providing financial consulting services and it was there he became familiar with the MAGIQ Enterprise and MAGIQ Performance products.
“During my career I have had a very strong focus on the delivery of effective reporting and business systems. The MAGIQ software products offer excellent flexibility and I believe have the potential to make life a lot easier for staff,” said David.
“My job is to make sure customers are getting the very best out of their systems and I’m very excited to have the opportunity to apply my knowledge and experience to help them achieve this.”
